Welcome to my humble site. I hope as you make your way through, you find images that bring you joy and make you smile. I experienced great joy while creating them.
I have been an artist all my life. I've worked in every medium... from pencil to lathe.
Over the years, I've found myself always gravitating back to 'fiber' based arts. I crochet, I weave and I sew.
The past 10 years or so, I've focused my art in the form of Free Motion Machine Embroidery (FME).
The process fascinates me. Using a domestic sewing machine, a hoop loaded with water soluble fabric and thread, I am able to 'paint' my visions onto the fabric by moving my hoop around.
When the fabric is washed away... only the thread remains.
I use a special mounting method that makes my finished piece appear to 'float' above the surface... casting shadows that become part of the artwork. When the light source changes, so does the art.
